about

I've been waiting for 2012 to go full blast with the Nouveau Classique movement. My project "The Wall" is definitely coming out this year and I'll be releasing music from it soon. Thanks to anyone supporting this early. Meantime, enjoy this track to get the year warmed up.

lyrics

Blue for the blue I feel when I’m feelin down in the ground

Feelin down, that could be most any day

Green for the eyes, take a look around

When the sun goes down, and the sun goes down in the strangest way…

Yah, uh uh uh uh

You see the spotlight? You hear them yellin’ for me?

Man, the feeling’s so cold, put a sweater on me

I let the drummer count, I let the bass breathe

That’s it, I’m comin out, I let the place screeeeam

I’m livin day to day, I chip away the pain

No point in loopin’ heartbreak, I pick the 808

They sip the hatorade, whwww, watch ‘em fade away

Say I’m no threat, I don’t buy it, you on layaway

Damon Wayans, see, I live in color, as vivid as ever

Teach you the movement, this is school, I’m the physics professor

Blue is for the Blue Cross coverage I can’t afford

Green is for the money that ain’t flowin’ like menopause

FUCK IT, dreamin aint sumthin that you can budget

Money can’t buy you love, why budget it if you love it?

I’m bout to right (write) my wrongs like a song, put that ink on it

Tip of the iceberg, I hope I don’t sink from it

(Hook)

Can I build this Wall?

Will I be on time?

Do I give my all?

I earned my stripes today

Ah-ah (Colors) Ah-ah (Colors) Ah-ah (Colors) Ah-ah (Colors) Ah-ah (Colors) 2X

My true colors, African leopard

That Wiz Khalifa, that Black and Yellow

Quarter Asian, young boy puts his raps in a demo

Grew up in the burbs, not black enough for the ghetto

They told me “This music’s only for the streets, get a day job”

But I am not a raisin in the sun, I am the grapevine

I am a leper, nobody touchin me ever

My colors paint the picture of victory, impressionist

The portrait of me’s shaded in history

The genesis of my career, headed to Madison Square

Fed up, I’m rushin (Russian) to get the power, I’m Vladimir

I’m outta here, look I made you feel me without a care

Heh, ugh

They out here sleepin from Niggeritis, they eatin’

I’m hungry to get that plaque, that gingivitis, I need it

I’m gone back to the future, now go find me

Baby, when you’re this much a head, the competition is no body

(Hook)

Can I build this Wall?

Will I be on time?

Do I give my all?

I earned my stripes today
